Grossmont will have 8 of 14 starters back from finishing 5th ranked in the county after their inaugural season

The offense will be led by: 

Junior QB Marissa Farace (2nd team all-league) threw for 2,181 yards and 33 TDs. She also played on the CIF champion basketball team.

Junior Gabby “Spiderman” Thomas will play all over the field. She had 523 total yards, averaging over 10 yards per touch, and 6 total TDs. She is a state qualifier in track.

Sophomore twin towers coming off monster freshmen seasons, Saraya “Shoop” Roope and Ari “Bump and Run” Simpson will be playmaking pillars for the program on both sides of the ball.

Senior Sienna Botkin (2nd team all-league) emerged as a red zone threat in the second half of the season and will be a full-time starter this year on both sides.

Senior wide receiver Jayden “2 Happy” Jensen comes to flag full-time after lettering in tackle football with the Varsity boys last season, she is poised to be a huge contributor on offense and defense.

Jaelyn Jensen played the last half of the season while lettering for the boy’s tackle football team. She will be a starter at wide receiver and safety and she is only focusing on flag this year.

Defensive Returners

Grossmont will be heavy on returners in their senior year ready to go out with a championship

Senior Safety Xairiah “X” Gromus (1st team all-league) leads the defense coming off a season with 19 INTs (ave 1.1 per game) 6 Pass defenses, 19 tackles, and 2 pick sixes.

Sophomore twin towers coming off monster freshmen seasons, Saraya “Shoop” Roope and Ari “Monster” Simpson will be playmaking pillars for the program on both sides of the ball. 

Senior Linebacker Ashley “mighty mouse /pipsqueak /ash” Beard (1st team all-league) is the heart of the defense, last season racking up 38 tackles, 5 sacks, 8 pass defenses

(SR) Siena “Tall Girl” Botkin (second-team all-league – see above) – 21 tackles, 4 INTs, and 3 critical end zone pass defenses
